Support Raising

Tonight we had another chance to share our story about moving to Tulsa and the financial needs that presents. In the course of 3 1/2 weeks we have met with almost twenty people to present this story. That doesn’t even include the letters we have sent out or individuals we have talked with on the phone.

Of course it can (and will) be repetitive, but we walk away from each meeting even more energized than before. We are so excited to share what we are going to be a part of and how we need partners, both in prayer and financially, alongside of us. We have been encouraged by the support and excitement of those that we have met with. People truly want to see the work of the Kingdom done and lives impacted.

We are so excited to see where God will take us this summer, who we will meet with and how we will He will provide for us. We know that God will help us reach our goal by August 1st.

BTW, our first e-mail update will go out on Friday, sign up for it here

Team Tulsa

The blog looks a little different now. We are really excited about our journey over the next few months as we prepare to move to Tulsa, OK and join The Crossing. We wanted this to be a place we could share about what God is doing.

Until August we will be sharing periodic updates as we raise support before our move. We know God is going to show up in incredible ways. We’ll also post resources, prayer requests and more.

As we move to Tulsa and get settled this fall, the blog will become a place to keep people updated on the work we are doing to reach people far from God in South Tulsa.

Heading to Tulsa

Last night at Student Ministries I announced that Kate and I would be moving to Tulsa, OK in August to join The Crossing South Tulsa. It is an great opportunity for me to work alongside a good friend and mentor, Jeff Henson. As Community Pastor I will be taking on new challenges like leading over the Community Groups (adult small groups) and Compassion Initiatives (serving within the community). It is an exciting time, but also one that requires a lot of faith. The past three years in Moweaqua have been incredibly valuable to us. There are many relationships that will be hard to leave, but we hope that we are leaving a great foundation behind in Student Ministries for others to build upon. Here is a copy of the letter that we sent out to the church.

We are going to keep updates on the blog and soon we’ll have an email newsletter started with monthly prayer requests and updates. We appreciate your prayer and support as we move forward.
