QUESTION
does it send the wrong message when parents let their students choose which Student Ministry they attend (at different churches)?
i can see the positives of them having a choice, but doesn’t it teach consumeristic church tendencies at a young age? are we teaching them to church shop, to find the “best deal” or the place that provides the most for their “needs”?
my answer: i think parents need to show their kids how to invest in one church and ministry. i don’t think it’s healthy to split allegiances between ministries, but should give all our efforts to the mission and vision of one place.
thoughts?
